When your son requests you to hang an axe, it presents a wonderful opportunity for an IKEA hack. For this project, I utilized a 40cm wide Billy bookcase and incorporated 3D-printed custom brackets designed specifically for the axe. To conceal the screws, I also crafted matching covers. Additionally, I repurposed the legs from the IKEA Ställ shoe cabinet, which I had customized with oak legs.
The little axe was sourced from Thingiverse, and I would like to extend my gratitude to AdamRW17 for his design contribution. To ensure a perfect fit within my project, I adjusted the scale of the axe, primarily focusing on lengthening the handle. For the attachment of the head, I applied heat to the handle’s end and flattened the head securely in place.
